Compliance Reviews
Compliance Reviews involve analysing an
operation or installation against published regulations, standards or
specifications to determine if that operation or installation meets or exceeds
the applicable rules. JRL has extensive experience with compliance reviews and
has performed work for several major government agencies involving analysis of
constuction for specification compliance, fire systems, hazardous materials
handling and building repair and maintenance programs. To determine compliance
review JRL will:
- Review and evaluate the selected
activities (i.e. Fire Safety, Hazardous material handling)
- Determine compliance with applicable
laws, regulations, permit conditions, orders, and settlement agreements
- Identify substantial or imminent risks
to human health and the environment
- Determine if violations or
non-compliance exists:
Compliance monitoring and review can
include:
- On site inspection and observation of
actual conditions
- Inspections on site of record reviews,
observations, sampling, and interviews
- Investigations or record
reviews
- Records analysis of existing routine
self-monitoring requirements, inspection reports, citizen or employee tips
- Targeted information gathering to
provide or acquire more accurate information
- Remediation compliance monitoring of
work required by regulation
- Preparing regulatory-compliant
standard operating procedures or upkeep and maintenance procedures
- Evaluating, computerized tracking,
data collection, and information handling systems for manufacturing
practice
