Fuel Tank Board - Cost $165.00 (U.S.) The Fuel Management Board keeps aircraft header tank full by pumping fuel between the left to right wing tanks. Technically the Fuel Management Board is a "On Delay Alternating Power Relay". In JRL's KR2 aircraft, the board controls two 10 amp electric fuel pumps. The Fuel Management Board can be used in conjunction with JRL's Knot-Vue to provide a "low fuel" alarm.
The Fuel Management Board uses one Float Switch (Normally Closed Contact with tank full) and we program the "On Delay Timer" for 15 Minutes ( one Gallon fuel burn ) after the float contact opens due to fuel burn. After 15 minutes the No. 1 Pump is turned "ON" and fills the header tank. Then on the second cycle the No. 2 Pump turns "ON" and the cycle continues. An "Auto-Manual" Control Switch is used with two "On-Off" Switches for full control of the process, refer to the field wiring schematic. Review the Schematic of Fuel Tank
