| Engineering
Consultant/Specialist 15 years of experience or more with a 1 a-year minimum in a specialized field. This engineer possesses an extensive background in engineering research or manufacturing. The engineering consultant / specialist will have broad technical experience in industrial, commercial and municipal developments, providing a depth of technical knowledge in a particular field architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or process. This experience qualifies the engineer to contribute an expert approach for a solution to a company's problem. In addition to being capable of solving design problems, the engineering consultant / specialist is responsible for the technical content of complete design projects. |
| Project Engineer 10 to 15 years of experience. An extensive background in engineering research, development and production, and experience in allied fields, enable the project engineer to provide an analytical approach when solving engineering problems. This engineer is accomplished in commencing projects, allotting time, remaining within the budget - while assuring successful results. |
| Senior Designer 15 years of experience or more. Working from an overall conceptual engineering approach, the senior designer prepares basic design layouts, sketches, diagrams and graphic analysis. In addition, the senior designer recognizes and defines design problems and recommends alternative approaches. Using educational and practical experience as well as computers, engineering handbooks and standards assists the senior designer in accomplishing efficient, practical designs. |
| Design Engineer 5 to 10 years of experience. This engineer has noted experience in applying knowledge of materials and methods to the solutions of design problems. The design recommendations will be based on accepted, proven practices, which are pertinent to the job. If necessary, this engineer can conceive and prepare specifications for projects and translate these into an effective engineering approach. |
| Detail/Designer 5 to 10 years of experience. The detail/designer uses the skills gained as a design technician on specifically assigned design areas, completing basic layouts to check fit, tolerances, space-use and other details. The detail/designer is most often supervised by a designer, senior designer, engineer or another member of the personnel. |
| Engineer 2 to 5 years of experience. Specific experience in at least one area of engineering. such as structural, civil Or electrical qualifies this engineer for a specific job assignment under supervision. |
| Design Technician 2 to 5 years of experience. The design technician prepared finished engineering drawings of design, construction and shop drawings from the layouts of the designer. This designer is capable of using technical handbooks, computer programs, vendor publications, charts and other reference materials. In addition, the design technician has experience in proper dimensioning and tolerances for design and construction drawings as well as an understanding of mathematics, shop methods and detail drawing standards in a specific construction trade. |
